Mr Mukund Bakre, Advocate and Tax Consultant conducted a training program on “Basic Accounting” for the BYST entrepreneurs. The training programme was conducted at the BYST premises only. Ms Poonam R Bajpai executive officer BYST, gave the introductory remark. Then everybody gave the self-introduction. Mr Mukund Bakre gave a short introduction of basic accounting and then systematically explained the need & importance of accounts keeping. He gave the information on Kind of books of accounts, which need to be kept for business. He then explained the traditional way of keeping accounts, which entailed keeping only two books of accounts. He also stressed on the importance of keeping account of personal expenses. Many times when a person does not keep track of personal expenses he tends to lose track of his spending. He then explained how to make & keep the Profit & loss account. He also spoke about preparing of balance sheet, which is very important for filing the return. He described the process of filling return & gave some suggestion for the same. At the end of the program were was a long question answer session & he was fielded a lot of questions on preparing balance sheet, filing tax, keeping important info which is to be given to CA for preparing the balance sheet. sales tax and service tax etc. which he explained out to the entrepreneurs. Ms Poonam Bajpai gave the concluding remarks in which she also gave some good & important suggestion to keep a tight rein over their expenses.
In the last Mr Sharad G Ratnaparkhi one of BYST supported entrepreneur presented a gift to Mr Phadke. Gift was manufactured by one of BYST supported entrepreneurs.
