| Mentoring not enough, funding needed too : Aga Mentoring is not enough. Potential entrepreneurs also need access to credit, believes director, Thermax Anu Aga. Aga was speaking at the launch of six mentor chapters of Bhartiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST) here in Pune on 20th August, 2007. There are examples how grassroots entrepreneurs rose to become highly successful businessmen due to the supports from their mentors, Aga said. In the recent time, the demand for mentoring has grown enormously in the country. For example, BYST's partnership with the Indian Bank in Chennai itself had resulted in 27 entrepreneurs being provided with a loan of Rs.64 laksh, she said. Aga also said she was looking forward to partnerships similar to the Chennai model in Maharashtra as well. However, according to Aga, mentoring alone is not enough. She urged financial institutions to come forward and lend support to entrepreneurs. In order to supporot the growing mentoring movement in the country, BYST has developed a comprehensive mentor training and accreditation programme.
