| BYST aims to build nationwide mentor pool The Bharatiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST) launched six mentor chapters for the entrepreneurs in Pune city, to guide via a mentorship programme. "BYST is aiming to build a nationwide pool of 30,000 mentors to cater one lakh entrepreneurs in the next five years. Currently there are 3,000 mentors in the country," Anu Aga, trustee of BYST and director, Thermax (I) Ltd, said on Monday. "We want to set up 20 chapters by the end of this financial year. These chapters are expected to bring professionals and entrepreneurs together, to form a formal network of mentors. Training and accreditation will be given to the mentors, to create an effective body of mentors, " Aga said. BYSt is in talks with Bank of Maharashtra, for providing easy access of credit to entrepreneurs. The Chennai chapter of BYST has tied-up with Indian Bank and with its feedback, we are in talks with the Bank of Maharashtra for the pune chapter, " Aga said. The mentor development programme consists of mentor online training, an internationally accredited course, and mentor chapters to strengthen the network of mentors.
